Or "tonizzight" if you're my best friend Hannah.
But this is probably going to be a long post. Because I have to talk about what I'm thankful for, post about the cool stuff I bought/what arrived in the mail, and my favorite band. Because it's so great when your favorite band finally does something after years (literally) of telling them to.
Such a breath of fresh air.
Anyway, here's what I'm thankful for this week (in Hannah language: 'wizzeak'):
- My mom for being the most hilarious texter ever (she's still sick but she's doing a little better; prayers are wonderful!).
- Benadryl, for making sure I don't sneeze every second of the day and for clearing my nose. You da real MVP, boss.
- I said this last week, but for amazingly adorable missionary boys. I mean, enough said, but he's honestly so great and I have massive heart eyes for him. Like... massive. I haven't been this happy in over a year. I truly have the best people in my life.
- The weather slowly getting warmer. I hate hot weather and love cold weather, but I am liking not having to dress up in layers and wear leggings and pants a lot of the time. I'm in search of more skirts and sandals these days. It's extremely refreshing.
- That my Psoriasis hasn't flared up lately (what's that, you may ask? Click here for info). Just watch, now it's going to flare up. -__- (and I cannot stress it enough, it is NOT contagious! You will NOT catch it from me; it doesn't work that way!)
Next, I have a haul. Yes, I got to treat myself to some more retail therapy before I left for Norway (spoiler alert, I had a very grand time) and the boxes were waiting for me when I got home! This time I ordered through ModCloth, one of my favorite brands. They get new stuff in pretty much every day, which is great, but it sucks because it's all super cute things and I feel like I shop there every day. Which... I don't. Just when I have a little extra money.
And yeah, some of the stuff was pricey, but I had a gift certificate as well, so it brought the price down quite a bit. But I'm honestly in love with all the stuff I got. Plus it's stuff that I can also bring with me to Mexico (also I can get that super short pink dress thing I got from SexyModest, do you remember when I blogged about that?! I can finally test it out on the beach!) so I'm not complaining at all.

I also took advantage of Bath & Body Work's "Buy 3 Get 2 Free" or "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" deal that they do once in awhile. It looks like they're still doing that sale (upon checking their website).
Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on a second. Don't I work there? Why wouldn't I know this already?
Weeeeelllll..... I quit last month. I also quit my other job, so now I'm strictly a teacher and photographer.
Why would I do that?
Well, because I can. And because I'm going to address that at the end of the month when I also address the super personal thing that'll ALSO explain why I'll be inactive for... a few months.
CHILL. I'm okay. It'll all be talked about at the end of the month. Right now, just keep on reading. It'll all be okay. I promise! (:
Anyway, back to B&BW. I have a scent that I always buy and that I always wear (call it my signature scent, if you will), so I definitely stocked up on that more, but I also am trying out a new scent. I sort of want to branch out a little bit, so I got two things of a different scent, and four things in my signature scent.
Also: These pictures come courtesy of my iPhone and then collaging them. ~*so artsy*~
1. Sea Island Cotton shower gel. [x]
2. Sea Island Cotton body cream. [x]
3. Sea Island Cotton fragrance mist. [x]
4. Sea Island Cotton body lotion. [x]
5. Dark Kiss body cream. [x]
6. Dark Kiss fragrance mist. [x]
I think you're able to tell which one I love wearing and which one I'm just trying out. I just love how Sea Island Cotton smells. It smells like summertime and the beach. It smells like vacation. I didn't wear too much fragrance mist/perfume or lotion too much until about... last summer. I had had a few lotions from Bath (I had Maui Hibiscus Beach and Violet Lily Sky), but I didn't really use them. Then when I started working there at a different store last summer, I really started getting into it.
And now Sea Island Cotton is like... my jam. I have a travel sized portion of the fragrance mist and lotion and I take those with me when I travel because I'm not allowed to take the bigger containers, blah blah blah thanks TSA, but at least I'm able to have some at all (......thanks, TSA....). So no real complaints.
Also: I've tried Dark Kiss out. I sprayed a little of the mist earlier today, and I kind of like it. The body cream is pretty strong. At first it smelled like cotton candy, but then it started to smell sort of fruity. But after a few hours, it's gone back to smelling like cotton candy. I'm pretty iffy on it right now, so we'll see how I feel once I've really broken it in.
**It should be noted that Dark Kiss is only available online, so don't go to your local B&BW looking for it because you won't!
Last, but certainly not least: My favorite band.
Muse is my favorite band. I feel like anyone who knows me knows that by now. Taylor Swift is another love of mine, but she isn't a band. She's an artist. Muse is truly my favorite band. I've been emotionally invested in that stupid band for going on TEN years. I own pretty much every single album, EP, and single that they've put out on both CD format and vinyl format. And yes, I own a record player.
I have a picture of my Muse collection on my personal Facebook. It's huge. To me, it's perfection. To anyone else, it's probably disgusting.
I've been crying at them to put out new material for awhile now, and THEY FINALLY HAVE PUT OUT NEW MATERIAL.
Their seventh album, Drones (click here), is coming out in June. The theme of the album is apparently going to be about "deep ecology, the empathy gap, and World War 3". I mean... I probably believe it. The political side of them is amazing, and no.. they aren't American, if you live under a rock and don't know who they are. They're a British trio.
Their single 'Psycho' is like.... mindblowing.
The lyric video can be found here.
Needless to say... I have no doubt that the American tour is going to be awesome. They've released dates already, but it's on their side of the ocean. Muse always does really killer stuff at their shows (and I've honestly seen them live too many times I count. I want to say I've seen them six times) and I feel like this is going to be super epic.
And now that I've talked about all the things I wanted to, and included a billion links to a billion different things, I think I'm done talking!
xx
